Day one begins with fresh mountain air and a nourishing breakfast in Sembalun Village before you’re transferred to National park authority, where wide savanna landscapes welcome you. The trail starts gently through grasslands with sweeping views of Mount Rinjani’s imposing peak always in sight. As you pass through each checkpoint, the vegetation becomes more sparse, the breeze cooler, and the climb steeper. At POS 3, enjoy a well-deserved lunch break surrounded by natural serenity. The final stretch to the crater rim is the most challenging, but the reward is spectacular—a vast volcanic basin below, the shimmering Segara Anak Lake in the distance, and a golden sunset that sets the entire horizon aglow. 7. What to Bring
To ensure your comfort and safety during the 4-day trek, please prepare the following personal items:
